This class features operations, diagnostics and repair of the more technical aspects of the following systems found on the ever popular Ford Escape. The course covers PCM Controlled Charging Systems, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, the Escape Hybrid, 4 Wheel Drive and much more. A lot of the material in the class will also apply to other Ford vehicle lines.
The very popular Ford Escape has been around for about 10 years. During that time many changes have been made to upgrade this vehicle.
This course will teach operation, diagnosing and repair of some of the more technical aspects of the Escape. Some of the information taught will be unique to the Escape, while some of what you learn will help you fix other Fords. The information will be presented over two nights. The information taught in the first course is highlighted in the course outline.
When Ford introduced the new 2000 Focus it was the most successful new Ford vehiclelaunch in years. In 2007 it was the third best selling domestic nameplate car of the year. During that span many new Ford Focus’s were sold.
This course will cover some of the unique service features of the Ford Focus. Additionally some of the Ford OBDII information, new scan tool diagnostic capabilities, and CAN bus will be covered in class.
While some of the information covered will be unique to the Focus, much of it will also apply to other Ford vehicles.
In this class we will look at the evolution of the 4 th generation Ram pickup. Engine options changed during the production of this truck, and we will cover operation and diagnostics for the Pentastar V6, 5.7 Hemi & the 6.4 Hemi option on this truck Also detailed is the ESS system. A look at the 8 speed Transmission As with all new systems that are detailed, we will look at common problems and repairs that you will encounter in your service center.
Most new Chrysler platforms have started using a different style Data Buss communication system. With this new communication system, the control for most sub-systems will be different than what we have seen over the past years. These changes will be introduced as the new platforms are introduced. The Compact Wide Platform was the first of this completely new Buss system and was introduce in the in the 2013 Dart, Jeep Cherokee and then the Pacifica. Be aware the Ram trucks had a mid-year change in 2013, so there 2 different schematics and diagnostics.
