The Ford F150 entered its eleventh generation in 2004 with a complete redesign. Its long successful run has included earning North American Truck of the Year Honours from several major magazines and fleet management organizations.
The F150 was completely redesigned again in 2009 with over 2000 changes. With this, Ford reached an engineering milestone. Changes included new materials used for production, improved capabilities, news aerodynamic, a new 6 speed transmission, better handling, function and quietness.
This course will detail the new features of the Ford F150. Engine changes along with Transmission, Drivetrain, TSB’s, Tech Tips, and Common Problems will be covered in this class.
The Ford F150 is still the most popular truck sold and the technician can benefit in servicing and repairing these trucks by attending this class.
Following the first Fusion Class we will continue to look at new Ford systems and technology. After a quick review of class one, we will cover changes in the new Fusion BCM System Diagnostics. The course also includes looking at the SNYC and its diagnostic capabilities for subsystems on the Fusion. This course will apply to other popular Ford brands.
To keep Ford competitive in the mid-size sedan market, the Fusion replaced the Taurus. This introduction was their first “New face of Ford” design, with all new platform comes new systems and big changes the way Ford diagnostics are performed. Some of these changes Include; elimination of the GEM, new fuel systems, an overhauled electrical system and the addition of new technology.
The two Ford Fusion courses will cover what’s new in this platform, changes to systems and new technology, including teaching the diagnostic and repair of systems to aid the tech in these new procedures. We will also look at that other Ford products are using this platform and their differences. This material will be covered in two nights. Attendance in one course will not be a prerequisite for attendance in the other course.
